How'd it go? When's the next one? ;)

I'm rather annoyed I couldn't make it due to a prior engagement, but I'd be interested to hear how it turned out.

The Slaughter Lamb is fine.

Last time we were supposed to have a quick intro where everyone said who they were and what they were doing. I'd really like for this to happen. Especially before the pub visit, so you know whom to talk to in the pub. Any chance of doing that next week, Neil?

I assume that any suggestion of consuming spicy food from the sub-continent is regarded as a terrible pun and never talked about?

Assuming it's not raining, any decent pub will probably be busy, so people will spill out into the road. The issue then is: is the pub on a quite road where this sort of thing is safe? The Slaughtered Lamb certainly was. On the other hand, their selection of real beer was limited. So, I might tentatively suggest Ye Old Mitre: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/show.shtml/1564/Ye_Old_Mitre/Holborn

Possibly the easiest thing is to go back to Slaughtered Lamb this time and then debate there, where next to go!

I liked the Slaughtered Lamb, but I'm also for trying new things. If anyone knows another nice pub, I wouldn't mind.
